People from all around the world know the name Crowded house which is a rock band who started out their careers in 1985 and are an Australian band who have a New Zealand lead singer. Most people would know who Neil Finn was as well as the fact that he is the lead singer of Crowded house as well as being a very unique independent and solo artist. Neil Finn and his brother are both in the band and Neil is responsible for just about all of the song writing for the band. His song titled Four Seasons in One Day was a song about New Zealand with its very strange weather which can change many times in just one day. Both Neil and Tim have been awarded honors from the queen for being the pride of her sibling countries for music.

Their first album went all the way to the number 12 spot which was actually in America while it skyrocketed to the number one spot in Australia. The album stayed there for some time after being released and was still in the top music charts in 1987 which was nearly two years later. Don’t Dream it’s Over and the song Something so Strong where chart toppers in many countries around the world and are both still played almost daily on radio stations and MTV music station in Australia and New Zealand. In 1994 the band started to change as the drummer left to pursue his own musical ambitions which left a space in the top bands line up. Finding somebody to replace him would be a very difficult job however eventually they ended their touring in 1996.

It was in 2006 after the original drummer had died that the band decided to get back together and be on the road again. The Finn Brothers where in charge of most of the get together relations and the end result was a huge success. Many fans were so happy to see Crowded House get back together that they paid for their concert tickets well in advance. In 2009 the Crowded House band started working on a new album which should be released some time in 2010 however until then we still have at least a half dozen albums to listen to which is a good days listening if you are a Crowded House fan. Once they start their next tour everyone will get another chance to go and see then in concert.

Crowded House and Don’t Dream, It’s Over, was the song that became top charters and the success it had was amazing. Neil has a brother who is part of the band, too. Crowded House remained without the drummer as he died, but the fans were very happy to see them back in concerts after a while and there was a large number of people who went to their concerts. Temple of Low Men was Crowded House second album which had success only in Australia. Then Crowded House began to have tours in Australia and Canada, promoting their new album.

From 2006, the band started to record new songs and had a live performance along with their relatives and families which was streamed live. The band participated in several festivals and they gave interviews, but the success that Crowded House- Don’t Dream, It’s Over had, did not repeated. Crowded House remains an important band in the music history and the members of it started a tour in 2010 and they also released new song or new song versions. The band combines great sound with interesting and detailed lyrics that make their songs memorable. Neil Finn was very interested about these things and he paid a lot of attention and he made efforts to be sure that the band has a special sound that would characterize it.

Australia has created some fantastic talent over the years. Russell Crowe and Mel Gibson have set the cinema world alight with some accomplished performances in films and others such as Rolf Harris; a bona fide polymath; have expanded into television. However, it is in the world of music that Australia has produced some of the finest artists that the world has seen. Danii Minogue is one of the judges on the most popular British show; the X Factor, and her sister Kylie is one of the best selling artists of all time; her song ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ reached number 1 in over 30 countries and is one of the top 100 singles ever released in Britain (to say that this includes the likes of Elvis and the Beatles, this is some achievement!). However, these are not the only musicians that have come out of Australia.

In 1986 a group formed in Melbourne called Crowded House and, although only managing to get a few hits on the world stage, have become one of the most popular groups in Australia. Between their most affluent years 1986-1994, they released 4 albums and gained international acclaim; particularly in the USA. The group reformed in 2006 after recruiting 2 new members and have since released 2 more albums. Winning 11 ARIA awards and a Brit award in 1994, the band has been decorated for their musical talent in both Australia and the UK. The band is still going strong and is expected to go on for many years to come.
